Competition

The golf, scored as it is actually played

Your group does not play one format for one prize. TrophyRoom scores what you actually play — several formats, several wagers, one result everybody can see.

A live match showing two teams, the hole being played and the current margin.
Formats

However your group settles it

One event can hold several different competitions without anyone keeping a second card.

The formats groups actually play

Match play, stroke play, four-ball, best ball, scramble, shamble, alternate shot, stableford, skins, nassau and wolf. Different rounds in the same event can be played differently.

Teams or individuals

Run it as a team competition, as individuals, or both at once with a team result sitting over the personal one.

Strokes that hold up

Handicap allocation is worked out against the format, the tees and the field, and it is recorded — so the answer to "how many was he getting?" exists afterwards.

Segments within a round

Front nine, back nine, overall — a single round can carry more than one competition without anyone keeping a second card.

While you play

Everyone sees the same picture at the same time

Scoring happens where the golf happens, and the standing follows immediately.

Live scoring from whoever is holding a phone

Scores go in hole by hole as the round happens. Nobody has to be the designated scorekeeper for the whole day.

The match as it stands

Holes played, who is up and by how much — while it is still standing, not reconstructed in the bar.

Standings that keep themselves

Round standings, event standings and season standings recalculate as results land. No one rebuilds a spreadsheet on the drive home.

Contests on the card

Closest to the pin, long drive and long putt are assigned to holes and claimed on the day.

The wagers

The part that gets argued about most

Side bets are first-class, because for most groups they are the competition.

Side bets alongside the golf

Supported games including Nassau, Skins, Match Play and Birdie Pot are kept next to the scores instead of on the back of a scorecard. Every invited golfer accepts their terms before a bet is live.

Who owes whom

After results are published, each player sees exactly who they owe, who owes them, and which Side Bet produced every amount — down to the cent, with no maths on the car park tailgate.

Ace pots

A pot that carries, with claims recorded against the hole they happened on.

Settling between players

A player can record that they paid; the other player confirms receipt or disputes it. TrophyRoom does not process, hold or transfer money, and provides no escrow or automatic payouts.

Afterwards

The result outlives the day

What happened stays attached to the thing that produced it.

Results that stay put

Rounds, matches, standings and the final result stay attached to the event that produced them. Next year's argument has a source.

Corrections with a history

A wrong score can be challenged and fixed, and the fix is recorded rather than quietly overwritten.

Your scoring record

Rounds played on TrophyRoom build up a personal record and an index over time.

Deeper performance analysis

Planned

Trend and strokes-gained style analysis beyond the current form and index view is on the roadmap, not in the product today.
